Designing this was a real challenge. I had never worked with physical devices before, so figuring out the pairing experience was both tricky and interesting. We took some inspiration from how PlayStation handles pairing.
Designing this was a real challenge. I had never worked with physical devices before, so figuring out the pairing experience was both tricky and interesting. We took some inspiration from how PlayStation handles pairing.
To start a session, the user either scanned a QR code on the cartridge (when using a phone) or entered the details manually (when using the device alone). But after research and testing, we found that 95% of users preferred scanning the QR code.
